Bikeapalooza is a free annual family friendly educational event celebrating downtown Ann Arbor’s protected bikeway network!

There will be live music, giveaways, face painting, fun activities and more! The event will be located on the surface parking lot at the corner of William & Fifth (across from the library). We hope to see you there!

ACTIVITIES

– Complete safety drills at four education stations and get a free t-shirt!! (While supplies last.)

Watch David Zinn create a chalk art installation – sidewalk chalk available for kids & adults to draw alongside David.

– Common Cycle will host a community bicycle repair station.  Volunteers will help folks look over and work on their bicycles.

Common Cycle is a community-based organization empowering Ann Arbor to ride bicycles by providing access to education, tools, and other resources. Volunteer mechanics teach and assist with repairs, from fixing a flat to overhauling a headset. Programs include public hours, maintenance courses, a femme/trans/women program, and supporting underserved communities through bike distribution.

Spin E-Bike Demos

Urban Rider Cargo Bikes will bring several cargo bikes and e-bikes for demos and will host a game with prizes! Also, learn more information about their Borrow a Cargo Bike Ann Arbor program.

Walk Bike Washtenaw (WBW) supporting people on bikes and on foot in Washtenaw County since 2001, will be installing free bike mirrors!

– Live Music by The Triumvirate, a trio of musicians from community high school that play many different styles of jazz, funk, and pop! Made up of Alex Sherk, Desmond lorenz, and Zach Michalec.

The Treeline Conservancy – The 3-mile Treeline pathway defined by three segments, the Gateway, the Neighborhood, and Wolverine Way serves pedestrians, cyclists, businesses, neighbors and visitors alike.
