Parking Options
The DDA provides a diversity of parking options to meet downtown's ever-changing needs. Public parking is conveniently located throughout the downtown and is very easy to access. Moreover, well over 50 downtown businesses validate parking (PDF) for their customers, making it possible to park for free in the center of the action, near world-class restaurants and retail shops, extraordinary museums, galleries, and concerts, and a host of other attractions.

PARKING RATES
Current Parking rates in effect February 1, 2012: Varied rates are meant to encourage the best use of downtown parking facilities, directing long-term parking into structures and leaving surface lots and metered parking for higher turnover, short-term parking:
- Hourly parking, structures: $1.10/hour.(Except the Ann/Ashley & Liberty Square Parking Structures)
- Liberty Square: Permit parking only until 3 pm, $3 flat rate entry fee after 3pm M-F & all day Sat.
- Ann/Ashley : Hourly parking until 4 pm, $3 flat rate entry fee after 4 pm M-F & all day Sat.
- Hourly parking, attended lots: $1.30/hour & $1.50/hour after the first three hours.
- Hourly parking, automated lots: $1.30/hour & $1.50/hour after the first three hours.
- Hourly parking at meters: $1.40/hour.
- Monthly permits, structures: $140/month
- Monthly permits, lots: $90-$115/month
- Premium monthly permits: $180/month
- Limited overnight permit: $30/month
- After hours flat rate entry:
- Liberty Square Structure: Permit parking only until 3 pm, $3 flat rate entry fee after 3 pm M-F & all day Sat.
- Ann/Ashley Structure : Hourly parking until 4 pm, $3 flat rate entry fee after 4pm M-F & all day Sat.
- 415 W. Washington Lot: Permit parking and $4 flat rate entry fee as available, all day M-Sat
HOURLY PARKING
Hourly parking is available at metered parking lots throughout downtown, as well as on attended lots and parking structures. Cost: $1.10/hour, in all parking structures; $1.30/hour in the attended parking lots for the first three hours & $1.50/hour after that; $1.40/hour at meters and eparks. Free parking in attended lots and parking structures is available on Sundays and the following major federal holidays only: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Please note, this list differs from the free parking days allowed at parking meters in lots and on the street.

Parking Meters & Epark Machines
Parking meters are located on most downtown streets, and include 30 minute, 1 hour and 2 hour meters. There are also 9 metered lots located around downtown. Cost: $1.40/hour, Monday through Saturday, 8am-6pm. Free on evenings, Sundays and all federal holidays observed by City employees: New Year's Eve Day (after 12 p.m.), New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday (after 12 p.m.), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, Christmas Eve Day (after 12 p.m.), and Christmas Day. Patrons can use coins at the traditional meters and credit cards, debit cards or coins at epark macines. Patrons can also purchase stored value cards for meters and epark machines from Republic Parking's main office on the first floor of the Maynard Parking Structure .
e-park
The solar powered parking machines are gradually replacing existing parking meters in high demand locations and are designed to make parking in downtown Ann Arbor easier, more convenient, and energy efficient. The stations accept coins, debit, credit cards, and epark smart cards (stored value cards rechargable at any epark station). To learn more visit annarborepark.com.
Meter & e-park Lots
There are 9 metered lots throughout the downtown. Cost: $1.40/hour, Monday through Saturday, 8am-6pm. Free on evenings, Sundays and all federal holidays observed by City employees: New Year's Eve Day (after 12 p.m.), New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday (after 12 p.m.), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, Christmas Eve Day (after 12 p.m.), and Christmas Day.
- 325 Depot St. - 35 spaces
- Broadway Bridge Lot - 18 spaces, 2 handicap
- Community High - 83 spaces, 4 handicap (open to public on weekends only, weekdays in summer when school is out)
- Farmer's Market - 75 spaces, 3 handicap (closed on market days: Wednesdays and Saturdays, April - December; Saturdays only, January - April)
- Fourth & Catherine - 49 spaces, 3 handicap
- Kerrytown - 25 spaces, 1 handicap (closed on market days: Wednesdays and Saturdays, April - December;Saturdays only, January - April)
- Main & Ann - 46 spaces, 2 handicap
- Main & William - 23 spaces, 1 handicap
- Palio Lot - 21 spaces, 1 handicap (epark lot)

Attended Lots
Rates: $1.30/hour for the first three hours. $1.50/hour after the first three hours.

MONTHLY PARKING PERMITS
Monthly parking permits are available in some parking structures and surface lots and provide 24 hour/day access throughout the month. A limited number of premium monthly parking permits are available as well. Premium spaces are set aside in convenient ground-floor locations. Parking Structures with Monthly Parking Permits

EVENING PARKING OPTIONS
In addition to daytime hourly and permit options, the following options are available to support evening activities and the strong demand for customer and employee parking in the evening.
$30 Evening/Overnight Monthly Permit:
The Evening/Overnight Monthly Parking Permit is a great option for downtown residents, evening workers, and others who regularly need parking after 3:30pm. This permit provides parking in most downtown parking structures between the hours of 3:30pm and 9am. The cost for this permit is $30/month. $5 Flat Rate Event Parking:
To facilitate easy exiting after large events, many parking structures typically convert to a $5 flat rate entry 1 to 2 hours prior to an event and remains that way throughout the evening. Payment must be made in cash, change will be provided.
Flat Rate Evening Parking:
Several parking structures through the downtown offer a low flat-rate entry cost. Payment can be made with cash or credit.
- Ann/Ashley: $3 flat rate after 4 pm, Monday-Friday and all day Saturday
- Liberty Square: $3 flat rate after 3 pm, Monday-Friday and all day Saturday
- 415 W. Washington: $4 flat rate entry fee as available, all day Monday - Saturday

If you need parking for the disabled, please reference this map for available locations. All parking structures have barrier free elevators and all parking lots and curb side parking are near sloped entries to sidewalks.
All AATA buses are equipped with either lifts, ramps, or kneelers. Your driver will assist you in using one of these boarding aids. For more information about AATA services and routes, visit www.aata.org or call (734) 996-0400.

MOTORCYCLE/MOPED & SCOOTER PARKING
Motorcycle and moped scooter parking is currently available free of charge in designated areas throughout the DDA District and The UofM Campus. Locations include: in the Fourth and William structure (off the Fourth Avenue entrance), in the Maynard Structure (off Thompson St. entrance), in Forest structure (off of Forest) and in the Ann and Ashley structure (off of Ashley St). See the map below for additional parking options. Where available, moped spaces are equipped with eyebolts, which can be used for securing the scooter.
