Parking Options
The DDA provides a diversity of parking options to meet downtown's ever-changing needs. Public parking is conveniently located throughout the downtown and is very easy to access. Moreover, well over 50 downtown businesses validate parking for their customers, making it possible to park for free in the center of the action, near world-class restaurants and retail shops, extraordinary museums, galleries, and concerts, and a host of other attractions.

Parking Rates
Parking rates in effect May 1, 2007: A number of rate changes are meant to encourage the best use of downtown parking facilities, directing long-term parking into structures and leaving surface lots and metered parking for higher turnover, short-term parking:
- Hourly parking, structures: $0.80/hour.
- Hourly parking, attended lots: $1.00/hour for the first three hours, $1.10/hour for subsequent hours. (Decrease by $0.05/hour.)
- Hourly parking at meters: $1.00/hour.
- Monthly permits, structures: $125/month
- Monthly permits, lots: $105/month
- Premium monthly permits: $175/month
Monthly permits and $2 evening entry to Liberty Square will remain unchanged.
Parking Meters
Parking meters are located on most downtown streets, and include 30 minute, 1 hour and 2 hour meters. There are also 9 metered lots located around downtown. Cost: $1.00/hour, Monday through Saturday, 8am-6pm. Free on evenings, Sundays and all federal holidays observed by City employees: New Year's Eve Day (after 12 p.m.), New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday (after 12 p.m.), Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and the following Friday, Christmas Eve Day (after 12 p.m.), and Christmas Day. Patrons can use coins at the meters and they can also purchase a stored value card Republic Parking's main office on the first floor of the Maynard Parking Structure . Theres stored value cards can be used at any public parking meter, there is a $10 deposit and cards can be refilled.
Hourly Parking
Hourly parking is available at metered parking lots throughout downtown, as well as on attended lots and parking structures. Cost: $0.80/hour, in all parking structures; $1.00/hour in the attended parking lots each of the first three hours, $1.10/hour thereafter. Free parking in attended lots and parking structures is available on Sundays and the following major federal holidays only: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Please note, this list differs from the free parking days allowed at parking meters in lots and on the street.
Monthly Parking Permits
Monthly parking permits are available in the parking structures and provide 24 hour/day access throughout the month for $125/month. A limited number of premium monthly parking permits are available as well, at a cost of $175/month. Premium spaces are set aside in convenient ground-floor locations. Please note that there is currently a waiting list for monthly permits. Call (734) 997-1310 for more information.
Limited Use Permit
Limited Use Permit Downtown residents and others who need parking in off hours are welcome to contact the DDA for a Limited Use Permit. This permit provides parking after 4pm and before 9am in most downtown parking structures. The cost for this permit is $30/month. Motorcycle/Moped Scooter Parking
Motorcycle parking is currently available free of charge in designated motorcycle parking areas in the following areas: in the Fourth and William structure (off the Fourth Avenue entrance), in the Maynard Structure (off Thompson St. entrance), in Forest structure (off of Forest) and in the Ann and Ashley structure (off of Ashley St).
Moped Scooter parking is currently available free of charge in designated moped scooter areas in the following areas: in the Fourth and William structure (off the Fourth Avenue entrance) and in the Maynard Structure (off Thompson St. entrance). These spaces are equipped with eyebolts, which can be used for securing the scooter. For more information please call Joe Morehouse at (734) 994-6697.
Disability Resources

All are welcome in downtown Ann Arbor! If you need parking for the disabled, please reference this map for available locations. All parking structures have barrier free elevators and all parking lots and curb side parking are near sloped entries to sidewalks.
All AATA buses are equipped with either lifts, ramps, or kneelers. Your driver will assist you in using one of these boarding aids. For more information about AATA services and routes, visit www.aata.org or call (734) 996-0400.

- Farmer's Market - 75 spaces, 3 handicap (closed on market days: Wednesdays and Saturdays, April - December; Saturdays only, January - April)
- Fourth & Catherine - 49 spaces, 3 handicap
- Kerrytown - 25 spaces, 1 handicap (closed on market days: Wednesdays and Saturdays, April - December;Saturdays only, January - April)
- Main & Ann - 46 spaces, 2 handicap
- Main & William - 23 spaces, 1 handicap
- Liberty Square Structure - 34 metered spaces in parking structure
Attended Lots
Rates: $1.00/hour for first three hours, $1.10/hour beyond third hour.
